This is great! I like the contrast between the relaxing melody and the aggressive bassline.
Some minor points of improvement: the pad that keeps fading in and out during the intro is a bit harsh. Try EQ'ing some of the highs out of there, or use a very slight lowpass filter.
Furthermore, I think the (acoustic?) snare you used doesn't really fit in this track. Try using a different sample for that, one that has more high frequencies to it.

Overall, I like this tune, and I'm looking forward to hearing the finished one!

Kaskrin responds:

Thanks for the pointers mate!

Good track so far. The main problem I've got with it is the snare. It could use some more lower frequencies. Try to boost around 600-ish Hz to give it a bit more power. Ther snare is also rather low in volume, so crank that up a bit as well.
Other than that, good job! Looking forward to hearing the final product.

Cheers!

deendeon1000 responds:

Will do:)

Awesome.

Made me think of the ghost of Marowak wandering around Lavender Town, going on a major killing spree and raping everbody in the ass with the Pokéflute.
Might just be me though.
Keep up the good work!

Qelaion responds:

LOL. Nice story, you should send that in to the Nintendo developers and see if they'll implement that in a new game.

Thanks for the review!

Gee, it sure is Drokz around here..

NONDEJU!

Casualty responds:

hahaha goeie!

I'm a sucker for these :3

That's a damn fine tune you got there. Nice and relaxing.
Production-wise there doesn't seem anything wrong with it. It's a bit minimal, but you don't need a gazillion instruments to make a powerful tune.

Keep it up!

Decibel responds:

Yeah, looking back, I didn't really work much on adding the gazzillion instruments: P
I just wanted it to be chill and stuff =D

Pretty good.

While I'm pretty sure you put a LOT of work in that lead (don't have a clue how you made that), it's still rather unpleasant to the ear. Don't know why though.

Anyway, good job :)

Quarl responds:

lol. if you liked the rest of the song but hated the lead it was probably because of the syncopated filtering. Melodically the lead is exactly the same as the soft instrument at the beginning but the automation was intentionally all over the place to contrast popular dubsteps predictably overdone wub wub filtering patterns. All in all, thanks for the positive review. It's a relief when people that don't like stuff can be nice about it :p

LOL

As much as I'm hating the original, since I've heard it waaaaaaaaaay too many times (yes I'm from the Netherlands too :P), I really enjoyed this one.
Haven't got that much to add actually so erm.. keep up the good work ;)

Foraum responds:

Thanks man! you keep up the good work too!

Man..

The synth really drowned out the drums, which is a shame. The part starting from the middle untill the end is pretty boring, since the drums don't really kick in again.

Other than that, decent attempt.

TIMarbury responds:

yea when i was going back into the file i changed the drums into a harder hit, it does seem weak in this version and yea the drums r wack LOL... thats probably the worst thing on most of my songs the drums...

congrats :D

I already listened to the song like 10 times, but it's cool it got first place for this week :D
nothing else to say, you made it way better than the NG cut.

greetz, agnryfaic (new account lol)

Z-Tone responds:

thanks man:D
im glad you liked it as much as i do
and i agree its way better than the NG cut
